Due to the Travel Alert for Mexico issued by the U.S. Department of State on Thursday, August 20,2009, AHA International is suspending our program in Morelia, Mexico for the winter term.

WHERE WILL YOU BE?
Experience the beautiful central highlands of Mexico in Morelia, the capital of the state of Michoacán. Discover the rich history of this welcoming community, situated halfway between Mexico City and Guadalajara. Explore the narrow downtown streets, old stone plazas, decorative fountains, and churches located throughout the city. Attend musical performances, sporting events, museums, art galleries, and an array of cultural activities that mix modern-day Mexico with its timeless traditions. Immerse yourself in Mexican culture and history.


WHAT WILL YOU STUDY?Morelia Market
The AHA program in Morelia appeals to students interested in a wide variety of careers working with bilingual and bicultural communities. Mexico is your classroom--an extensive excursion schedule, fieldwork, cultural activities, and homestays provide a holistic academic experience. AHA offers two summer programs,
the Language and Culture Program and Program for Educators, linking your sense of adventure to your educational endeavors. Qualified students may direct enroll in Universidad Latina de América courses or participate in internships or a TESOL Teaching Practicum. Discover the culture, history, and diversity of Mexico first-hand.
