EXPERIENCE
AHA has over 50 years of experience as a study abroad provider, and currently works with over 50 U.S. colleges and universities to provide outstanding academic programs abroad for their students and faculty.

PROGRAM EXCELLENCE
AHA offers summer, semester, and quarter programs at 18 sites in 15 countries around the world.  AHA programs are designed with an emphasis on academic quality, high levels of student support both in the U.S. and on site, and cultural engagement.

ACADEMIC QUALITY
AHA consortia regularly review and assess AHA course offerings and academic programs; consortia member and most affiliate institutions grant direct credit for AHA programs.  In addition, as an academic program of the University of Oregon, all AHA courses are reviewed and approved for University of Oregon credit.

There are two types of partnership with AHA available to your institution: consortia membership and affiliation.

AHA CONSORTIA
• The opportunity to collaboratively design academic programs at AHA sites to meet consortia member faculty and student needs
• The opportunity to send faculty to teach on consortia programs for a term or summer
• AHA scholarship support for member institution students
• Priority admission deadline for member institution students
• The opportunity to work with AHA to develop and offer customized, faculty-led programs for students and faculty at AHA sites
• The option of having AHA program fees billed directly to your institution rather than to individual students
• Support from AHA staff in providing customized marketing materials, visits to your campus, and real-time online access to your students’ applications.

AHA’s current partners include the Midwest Consortium on Study Abroad (MCSA) and the Northwest Council on Study Abroad (NCSA).   Both consortia will consider applications for new membership; contact AHA for details.  AHA also welcomes the opportunity to work with schools interested in forming new consortia.

Individual institutions can sign agreement with AHA to become an Affiliate.   Affiliate benefits include:
• Student access to an annual AHA scholarship

• The option of having AHA program fees billed directly to your institution rather than to individual students
