ANGERS PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This program is designed for students interested in learning French and more about French culture, politics and society. French language is offered to students with beginning-level French up to a maximum of first year college-level French. This program also appeals to students from many disciplines with courses in history, sociology, political science, and French culture and civilization. Students will study at the international language institute (CIDEF) of the Université Catholique de l'Ouest located near the city center. French language courses are taken with U.S. and other international students; participants will also select from several courses taught in English just for AHA students, incorporating specially designed excursions in the surrounding region. Students will live with with a French family. Angers, home to a castle and churches dating back to the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, is a lively university community of more than 30,000 students.
