ANGERS PROGRAM OVERVIEW

These summer programs are designed for French majors and minors, as well as students with no prior language experience who are interested in France and the Loire Valley. Students will study French with other U.S. and international students at the
international language institute (CIDEF) of the Université Catholique de l'Ouest, located near the city center.  AHA offers three intensive language sessions in July (summer I), August (summer II), and September (summer III). The September session is strongly recommended as preparation for all students applying for the fall quarter, semester, or full academic year options. These four-week programs provide instruction at beginning, elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels. Students will learn French while experiencing the best of the medieval and the modern in this colorful city nestled in the beautiful Loire Valley. Angers, home to castles and churches dating back to the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, is a lively university community of more than 30,000 students.  Students will live in a residence hall or with a French family.
